I bought "Man Made Motion" last weekend, and listened to it a couple of times. I thought it sounded pretty unoriginal, but not *that* unoriginal. "Slow and Low" is my least favorite Tetsu, and consequently is not in heavy rotation, but I hang my head in shame for not even noticing... I think my wife came closer to spotting this when she commented that it sounded "like the 'fridge, just like all your other CDs." Blimey, Dr. Atmo infringes your fridge as well as Tetsu Inoue... I can imagine him skulking around assorted kitchens recording "appliance ambience" during the dead of night. And what legal leverage does a blender or microwave have against such a cad? None I reckon. Probably less. Bye! Do you think it is actually a good idea to have so many and such long series?? I was often put off by fax by not just the sheer volume but the idea that there were so many parts and the first part was so damn rare you couldnt achieve the nice kind of anal row of fax cds you might like to in your front room. I *do* think DSOTM is just becoming some kind of monolithic joke, no matter how good the music is. Call me > a dunderhead if you will... > rA dunderhead ;-) I highly disagree with you about DSOTM, but given that's it's one of my favorite series on FAX, that would be a given huh? I think each DSOTM is very different and very evolving at the same time. The music (and the collaboration) has grown quite considerably over the years and I hope it continues. It's one of the few series that I can listen to very frequently and it still sounds fresh.
