Then you could have posted to the appropriate newsgroups and mailing lists just once, and the whole online world would have access to the goodies. [You might have even gotten a bit more for Otaku. :-) ] You probably have your reasons, and if you explain them that might appease some of those more bothered than I about your posts. Damon, I know that your post was intended for Keith, but I thought I'd interject. As one of the successful bidders in Keith's auction, I have to state that I'm THRILLED that he didn't decide to post his discs on EBay. Since I'm relatively new to the FAX game (just started collecting this spring), I've got quite a few gaps in my collection to fill, I'm always happy when I'm able to pick up some titles for a good price. EBay, IMHO, is a good idea that's gotten too popular. You spend the last few hours of the auction waiting for some Bot to bump your bid, and you are almost certain to pay more than you would in a private auction. My success rate for items there has gotten distressingly low. Of course, Keith may simply not have thought of EBay, and is even now kicking himself for not making a few extra bucks. ;) Obligitory FAX content: Did someone mention that there's going to be a sequel to Jochem Paap's VRS-MBNT-whatever whatever? There is a UK one too if you don't what to send abroad/fiddle with currency. Bye! I'm sure that people won't take it personally as you have done. This is as fundamental an issue as political slant, and I'm sure we could all disagree on that without anyone feeling put upon. I never complained before because auction postings are usually minimal - even though I disagree with them, I see that others seem to enjoy being serially gazumped, and I can live with it in a spirit of tolerance. But I feel that what you did is not really appropriate for a forum which is about FAX rather than auctions. That said, I don't really care *that* much. > Perhaps > you have been mixing with the wrong sort of people. You should get out > more... 'nuff said. *That* is a personal attack... don't start being defensive just because you feel you're under attack. Only about 4 people have complained out of erm... quite a few more on the list. Bye!
