If you dont ask you >dont get, albeit you may need a fair bit of cash to finally get! mmm ... having another shot at me hey. Across the bows this one I'd say. I originally wrote: "If it's not listed on his site (CUE) then it's officially out-of-print" An explanation of which is: My definition of in-print is that a title is still listed/available at standard/published cost. Joerg's source is, I believe, Fax itself who still hold the odd copy or two of some rare ones (although not many now) which they supply to him (and then on to us) at not inconsiderable cost. eg. 18 months back I ordered eight out-of-print @ 800 DM !!!!!!!!! and yes, it did hurt. PBE operate a slightly different policy in that they tend to levy a small (not unreasonable) premium on titles which are *about* to go out-of-print ... ie. which they know they can't re-order. ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 02 Apr 2001 12:00:07 +0100 From: "Paul Milligan" Subject: (fax) FAX solutions Wolf wrote: >i guess he won't find (or doesn't want to find) the time >to check all the demo's he's getting sent. Apparently he wishes to concentrate on his own material. ............................................................................ ......... I think that Auraphage made some very good points and I agree that the discussion of personal perceptions is an excellent "wellspring of conversation". Unfortunately, I'd suggest that the recent lack of such discussion is, in no small way, a reflection of Fax's increasingly narrow output. ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 02 Apr 2001 21:36:35 +1000 From: "andre@faxlabel.com" Subject: (fax) rare / out of print policy > My definition of in-print is that a title is still listed/available at > standard/published cost.
