Listened to Sultan 2 on sunday, perhaps for the first time properly. Im still not keen on this voice percussion sections but there is some wonderful music in there. For others keen on this 'sound' there is an excellent bombastic eastern european/far east track on Miles Apart and the introduction to Outland 4 is simialrly beautiful, all the moreso when the bass/beats seamlessly enter the track, cheers rA ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 4 Jun 2001 08:19:46 -0500 (CDT) From: Phonaut Subject: (fax) Vivona people familiar with the old school releases Gamma and Gorn can check out this new release: from the newest Bent Crayon update: Massimo Vivona "Vision Shifter" 12$ Headzone have been on a roll as of late with Massimo leading the charge - and his latest is no exception. Otras was the name of a country in a sword & scorcery novel. Originally it was only a track title on David's first release for Fax but, Namlook took a particular fancy to it and, well, the rest is history as they say! btw - I think it was Rowland who offered up a copy of Otraslab a few weeks back (as well as juxtaposing Otras to a Lovecraft novel more recently) and I'm interested to know... ... what's the general view on this one? I think Narcos is probably better known but, I prefer Otraslab; it starts off rather unassumingly yet, gets better and better as you move through it. Great stuff imo.
