I have spares of "One Year Ambient" (PKPWPS1) and "Compilation 4" (PK 08/07). Both are used, but are in excellent condition. Looking for: Biosphere / Higher Intelligence Agency - "Polar Sequences" (Beyond) Air Liquide - "Nephology" (Rising High Edition only) Jonah Sharp / Mixmaster Morris - "Quiet Logic" (Daisyworld) HAT - "DSP Holiday" (Daisyworld) Datacide - "Ondas" (RI) Reload - "The Auto Reload EP" (Evolution evo002 Vinyl) Chill Out Or Die Vol. 4 (Rising High) Fonosandwich (RI) Pentatonic Surprise (RI) Dropshadow Disease (RI) DOS Tracks :) (RI) Eric Satin (RI) Los Samplers (RI) Atom feat. Tea Time - XXX (RI) Senor Coconut - El Baile Aleman (MU062) Senor Coconut - El Grande Baile (MCR111.2 - Double CD version) Bund Deutscher Programmierer (RI) Midisport - 14 Footballers in Milk Chocolate (RI) The first seven I would be prepared to trade on a one for one basis (possibly one for two in the case of the two Daisyworld titles), the others I would be looking for two for one (as they are all still easy to get). Self-evidently Wolfgang's opinon is no less valid than mine but, I'll try to explain why I feel the opposite. As reflected in the title which Pete chose, this one has a genuine intuitive feel to it; like they went into the studio in an upbeat mood, feeling particularly inspired (ie. the ideas flowed easily) and wham!... there you have it ... Electronic Music that really rocks. Maybe I'm wrong but, I've always assumed the graphics on the inside support this theory - btw, I don't have it in front of me now. >Wired has simply more depth, more musicality, more interesting >sound exploring.. and it grows the more i listen to it. I think we have slightly different perspectives on what the primary constituents of good EM might be. I'm far less interested in those aspects which are to do with the theoretical/technical side, as implied by 'more interesting sound exploring'. Imho that's why such a large amount of new material over the past few years (within the genre generally) has a sterile quality. Please do not misunderstand, I am not saying Wired is sterile (hence my comment that it could be the best Fax release since Osman ... although with hindsight, I'll revise that to the first Virtual Vices) but, I can't respond to Wired on quite the same emotional level. It's a personal thing isn't it? Yes, I think Wired will be a grower/stayer but, ADITL has a funkier (aargh...unhip terminology) quality and will always be the one I return to first. I sincerely hope that it heralds the beginning of a Fax revival. As to whether Wired has "more musicality" - you've lost me there I'm afraid. ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 13 Jun 2001 05:52:30 -0600 From: David Hodgson Subject: (fax) ATOM HEART: Shellglove (rp1814) CD back in stock @ Playing By Ear... _____________________________________________ RECENT PROGRAMMINGS (GERMANY): $15.99 ATOM HEART: Shellglove (rp1814) CD to order + see the latest list contact... I first heard Kraftwerk on the radio (the original 98.7 Kiss FM) here in New York back in the early '80s. I seem to recall that I got my first album ("TEE") on cassette when I was in the 8th grade, at about the age of 14. I got Prince and the Revolution's "Around the World in A Day" on cassette at the same time--my parents got 'em for me, but I told them what I wanted. I remember there was this mega-extended version of "Planet Rock" that incorporated "Numbers" and other similar KW goodies that I heard exactly once on the radio. They used to play "Numbers" quite frequently. Peace. ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 15 Jun 2001 09:09:54 +0100 From: Rowland Atkinson Subject: (fax) Virtual Vices 1 for trade I have a mint copy of the above for trade, interested in a Jet Chamber 5, Bundes Deutscher or any other suggestions, cheers rA ------------------------------ End of faxlist-digest V2001 #89 ******************************* --- + To post: ; to mail a person: + To unsubscribe: "unsubscribe" to + Online info at: www.faxlabel.com www.hyperreal.org/fax www.2350.org
