Electronic Music that really rocks. just listened to ADITL again, and i can't help myself.. i definitely miss more layers that make this more interesting. it's minimal and simple but without the charm that this kind of music could have. especially Fall Out of Bed and Into a Wonderful Maze are 20 mins of painful waiting... i don't see the inspiration here, it's just "tenaciously".. before Down to the EMC brings some atmosphere. but still with this boring beat/ bass combination that goes on and on without any variation all the time, ruining more than 30 mins of this release. also the production is quite weak.. which is not that important but nevertheless adds to the bad impression. > I think we have slightly different perspectives on what the primary > constituents of good EM might be. I'm far less interested in those > aspects which are to do with the theoretical/technical side, as > implied by 'more interesting sound exploring'. Wired brings soul and technology well together, IMHO. i've been missing sound innovations since a long time in FAX releases. New Organic Life was an attempt, but it misses Pete's emotional qualities, it's more of a technical show off (though i like it from time to time). > best Fax release since Osman ... although with hindsight, I'll revise > that to the first Virtual Vices) but, I can't respond to Wired on > quite the same emotional level. It's a personal thing isn't it? sure.. i sold Virtual Vices I because i think it's nothing but an overproduced re-release of the previous Wolfram Spyra album. in VV I layers often don't fit to each others, the correspondence of instruments doesn't really work then. A Day in the Live - minimal without much content Virtual Vices I - 'maximal' with superfluous content they both don't get the balance right. __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!?
