It's kind of like getting more junk e-mail, which I get plenty of!! Thanks. RE: Aerial Service Area. Both very good albums, I remember getting these like 6 years ago! Can't believe they're still around, but good to hear they are for those who don't have them. Cheers... - --Chris K. ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 21 Jun 2001 13:41:50 -0400 (EDT) From: Stewart Fritz Subject: Re: (fax) (OT) FCC and free speech Actually, the reason the FCC brought down the hammer on this one is that KBOO was playing this song before a certain time at night(i believe 10 PM) which is the cut-off point at which you can't play ANYTHING that might contain even the most tame-sounding sexual innuendo/references/whatever. I know that playing "Your Revolution" at 9:00 at the station I work at would get you thrown off the air. Having said that, I still think the FCC is swinging hard to the right on these issues lately...there's stories circulating of the FCC shutting down rap format shows across the country, even when said stations were playing "radio edits" or "clean" versions of certain songs. It certainly doesn't help that the FCC chief is a wacko right-wing Bush appointee... my 2 shekel's worth. - --s2.
