Classic, yes, but relevant now, not really... If you're referring to Eno, he is on the list (Ambient 4). I think Ambient 4 is his best of the Ambient series, but I haven't heard Ambient 3 (Day of Radiance is it called?). Wasn't that impressed with 1 or 2. Eno is on there, it's the Ambient 4: On Land record. you couldn't even call it an ambient list if there isn't an Eno on there somewhere ;) I don't agree with the selection of Aphex Twin Selected Ambient Works Vol. 2, the Selected Ambient Works 85-92 record is just down right haunting. almost 10 years later, it's still one of my all-time favorites. dave-g > Date: Thu, 28 Jun 2001 02:50:08 -0700 (PDT) > From: Wesley Kerr > Subject: Re: (fax) Organic Cloud in top 30 all time > ambient CDs > > Interesting that the man credited with inventing the > genre is not amongst this top 30. > > Wesley __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Then again, if you don't like 1 or 2 (HOW CAN YOU NOT LIKE 1 or 2 !!!????), 3 probably won't do it for you, either. Sorry for the outburst. Just couldn't hold it back. When I looked at the list yesterday Eno wasn't listed, but today he is. Ah well. Good to know that he is there whatever - he did have production credits on the other two EG releases anyway, I believe.
