Re: (fax) Smaller... horsehead. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Date: Tue, 12 Feb 2002 16:00:25 +0000 From: "Paul Milligan" Subject: (fax) Secret confessions of the Marquis De Sad. October 1975 - a friend lent me a copy of Ricochet by Tangerine Dream on a pre-recorded cassette and I was immediately smitten. For many consecutive nights we lay passionately together in my room ... I knew my friends wouldn't understand but, it was love and no ordinary love at that. A quarter of a century later and we still occasionally bump into each other ... age has not waned the beauty. 1996 - now considerably older (perhaps wiser?) I found myself browsing through the wares of a merchant who had travelled to England from the European mainland and set up his stall in the foyer of Derby Assembly Rooms - several hours before the renowned minstrel, Klaus Schulze, was due to take to the stage. I spied a Schulze disc that was unknown to me - The Dark Side Of The Moog - but, this was no solo disc ... he was accompanied by someone calling himself Pete Namlook. Nevertheless, I picked it out, currency was exchanged and it accompanied me home that night. I admit I was intrigued by the sado-masochistic image on the cover... but, would my wife even try to understand? Dare I even hope we might share the experience together? Alas, it was not to be, she would have none of it and once again I found myself alone and mis-understood. Thereafter, I was unable to escape the all-embracing and strange compulsion...to go back for more, again and again. ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 12 Feb 2002 08:38:44 -0800 (PST) From: John Whitney Subject: Re: (fax) Secret confessions of the Marquis De Sad. - --- Paul Milligan wrote: >Thereafter, I was unable > to escape the > all-embracing and strange compulsion...to go back > for more, again > and again.
