If it was you, could you email me the link again off-list please? Thanks! NP. King Crimson - Red (I'm serious!) Apple's iTunes allows this ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 29 Apr 2002 22:44:55 -0400 From: muziknut2@juno.com Subject: Re: (fax) MP3 to CD programme Not to tout the Cult of Macintosh, but iTunes lets you select the gap between tracks, from 0-5 seconds. Also, Roxio's Easy CD Creator/Toast allows you to select "Disc at Once," which eliminates the standard 2-second gap. In fact, you could almost say that the end result constitutes a new piece of music in and of itself. I wish it had been released on the Main Label, though, as it is the only AW release I possess and therefore sticks out from the crowd in my CD rack ;o) The other unfortunate coincidence is that it will be out of date almost immediately thanks to the impending arrival of DSotM9. Is this any good, incidentally, Andre? On a more negative note, I wasn't hugely impressed by Syn II. Pete can do this sort of thing in his sleep. Anyone agree / disagree NP. Im playing moog 9 for the first time now.. 5 mins into it.. so far its quite light in terms of emotional direction... Namlook says this one is: Its more quiet and on the other hand more sequences and more beats than in the other TDSOTMs.. there was a pause of 3 years.. you can hear that .. we are both in a more quiet phase. its also got a 'sad' feeling overall.. which i like.. a 30 second browse tells me this moog is kind of in the middle.. to me it sounds more 'retro' in parts.. some older 70s style sequences + its got the new namlook percussion sounds as heard in Psychonav 5 + syn 2 which i like as they are highly modulated & processed.. compared to the norm.. .. time will tell, and ill be putting a good chunk of it on 2350.org soon for the list members. ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 30 Apr 2002 16:50:53 +0200 From: "stm" Subject: R: (fax) Evolution of the Dark Side of The Moog In my view one of the most beautiful tracks of the series is The Final Dat pt. 2, and it's a quite pity it's not been included in this collection. - -- Riccardo .. . . . . . . . . . . .. musictrade http://digilander.iol.it/radioactivetoy .. . . . . . . . . . . .. ------------------------------ End of faxlist-digest V2002 #74 ******************************* --- + To post: ; to mail a person: + To unsubscribe: "unsubscribe" to + Online info at: www.faxlabel.com www.hyperreal.org/fax www.2350.org
