Track 1.1, Pepper, on Speedy J - Ginger was composed about the same time as Eternal Spirit (1993).. ..toward the end of the track i was amazed to hear resemblances, resemblances only, between the two.... To me this has one on the best melodies and also one of the nicest trance sounds around. Speaking of samples, I had an epiphany this weekend. One of my favorite examples of sampling voices is Cabaret Voltaire's Yashar: "The 70 billion people of Earth, where are they hiding?" It's from an original Outer Limits from the 60's called "The Demon with the Glass Hand" starring Robert Culp and written by Harlan Ellisson (sic). I've been trying to place that for about twenty years! For those of you in the US, the Sci-Fi channel is broadcasting the originals every week day at 1 PM EDT. Did anyone else catch the show on Leon Theremin on the True Stories channel last week? Really interesting stuff about how he invented the machine and how much of a hit it was in the US before WWII.
