Actually not as big of a suprise as one might think since Amazon just took over CDNow's business and inventory and CDNow had quite a few Fax discs available at nice prices as I posted to this list on 12/2/02. "On a related note when I clicked through to CDNow through All Music Guide I noticed that CDNow is selling many of their Fax CD's for $12.99 and they note a list price on those Fax discs of $13.98. Things like Syn II, Wired, Psychonavigation V, Fires of Ork II etc are all $12.99. That's quite a low price for a major on-line retailer. Do they have some sort of direct distribution connection? If you use the 15% off CDNow discount link availale here: they end up costing $11.05 each!" ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 2 Jan 2003 22:31:39 -0500 From: daniel Subject: RE: (fax) Re: Lending CD's yes golden number one rule >===== Original Message From "sanvara" ===== >> ooh i hate the lending of things and then they lose it , happended with my >> zenith cd of all ones to go :|, i wonder how much the cover could go up on >> ebay for hahahah :D > >Ouch. I have lost nearly 100 cd's since my college days many years ago. Many of those cd's were from people that borrowed and never gave back. There are some cd's that I did not realize were missing for months, and needless to say I cannot remember who borrowed them. I guess I need to make lists now....too much cannabis on the brain! Not sure I lost any FAX disc's however, and that would be a good thing. I know a lot of trance was lost :-( Sometimes 2000 cd's is a pain in the ass to keep tract of! kunst und wahnsinn, jackthetab #####\ _ /##### #( )# | _( )__ | #( )# ##### | /_woof/ | ##### #" "# | ___m/I_ /_____ | #" "# # O # |____#-x.\ /++m\ /.x-#____| # O # #m.m# | /" \ ///###\\\ / "\ | #m.m# #####/ ######/ \###### \##### /_______________________________________\ ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 03 Jan 2003 09:12:59 +0000 From: Paul Milligan Subject: Re: (fax) synth music direct > anyone order from this place before? reliable? I can only imagine that interest in this one stems from the fact that its origin is the heady early days. Fax Galleria will be putting up the latest version of my personal rating guide within the next day or so (version 4) and this one remains, still, the only Fax title I've ever given 1/10. ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 3 Jan 2003 11:51:11 +0100 From: "msg_matucana" Subject: Re: (fax) Nostalgia? My rating would be 9/10 and I have a friend who likes it very much, too, although he is a typical Tori Amos fan. III lies between the 'normal' Fax releases and the bleepy, glitchy stuff of some e.g. Deupree, Inoue, or Tilliander releases. I really like it! Perhaps I should write another review ;-) BTW: the worst Fax release I know is DSOTM 2, IMHO. I actually quite like this and certainly prefer it to Vol 3. although it's true the first 30 mins are a bit of a drag. Namlook III I carefully re-listened to a couple of times over Christmas and even after recent appraisals I still feel it lacks direction. My *least listened to* releases (whether this means they are poor albums I don't know) are Elektro II, New Consciousness 2 (nowhere near as good as the first) and Audiolounge. - -----Original Message----- From: msg_matucana [mailto:msg@matucana.de] Sent: 03 January 2003 11:51 To: * Faxlist Subject: Re: (fax) Nostalgia?
