This does _not_ surprise me, as Blaine Reiniger was member of Tuxedomoon back in the 80s. New Wave/Avant Pop/Pre-Ambient stuff - I remember their record "Desire" as very remarkable. By using a CD grabber (I use dbpoweramp, freeware) and a wave editor (I use audacity, freeware too) you can save the cds as mp3s on your hard drive with the former and mix them together with the latter program. It is only bothering that you need to re-namlookize the long pieces. Anyways, I did this with the three Inoue releases on fax. It runs nice 3:23:33, using 180 MB of disk space. I did the same with Melcohe's "recurring dreams". There are six 1-h parts available on the net in RM format which I sucked down with the help of Streambox ripper, mixed them together in Audacity and voila - I have the original 6 hour version. Which I prefer anytime to six hours of "Silence I-V", but that's just my $0.02 worth.
