Hi Jack & all, > What do you mean by well done? > I just did not see the connection > between the FAX label, besides > Pete Namlook. Incidentally, I feel > that these are some of the worst > releases (even worse than the Amp what do you mean by connection? Musically, there is no connection between "Silence", and "New organic life", and "Adlernebel", just to name a few. What is striking with the Y&T series (I know Wandering soul, and Sunken road) is an emotional and musical deepness IMHO. They work fine for me, much better than stuff like Audiolounge, or Retro Rocket, or Jet chamber IV & V, just to name a few again. Yes, and is there no connection between Y&T and "Spring"? I agree. His synth works are most wonderful (Namlook). There are not too many artists that can compare (well maybe a few, but not many). I love his little synth solos and short doodlings that he creates. Funny you mention 4 Voice. I like these releases, and have found that many people do not. Not exactly sure why they do not...but overall, his synth more than makes up for his "fair" moments. I do not even mind his jazzy works, but the guitar???? The guitar makes me cringe as well. kunst und wahnsinn, jackthetab #####\ _ /##### #( )# | _( )__ | #( )# ##### | /_woof/ | ##### #" "# | ___m/I_ /_____ | #" "# # O # |____#-x.\ /++m\ /.x-#____| # O # #m.m# | /" \ ///###\\\ / "\ | #m.m# #####/ ######/ \###### \##### /_______________________________________\ - ----- Original Message ----- From: "daniel" Subject: RE: (fax) Who else out there isn't into the whole idea of Fax MP3 CDs? > i have to admit , namlook only works well within a collaboration, i dont tend > to go for his solo work , and his jazz guitar makes me cringe , but then again > he has the most insane synth key work i've ever heard he rips on that 4 voice > ! including inoue aswell ;) > ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 6 Apr 2003 22:20:27 -0700 From: "sanvara" Subject: Re: (fax) Y&T releases I meant for the style of music that they were (which obviously doesn't appeal to you) the Y&T releases were well done. The music was very uncharacteristic > of what we know as the fax label. I like the Y&T label. I gave a copy of Wandering Soul to my x-girlfriend and she had dubbed it without me knowing. She likes classical music. The last time that i saw her, about a month ago, she was playing music during our dinner. In the middle or artists like chopin and bach....wandering soul came on... I didnt notice it until a few tracks in. it was nice for a romatic mood, i thought. so, take out that ant-zen cd from your player, unchain your partner and throw in a Y&T disc. :-D > The music was light > and lacked any real definition like the fax label. > > Good example is Sunken Road.
