It's certainly not just you Richard. I think their attitude leaves a lot to be desired and I was equally confused when I first placed an order. I've also received second hand CDs which were not advertised as such and have had problems with my order contents which were not made easy to resolve. In fairness, I've had orders that have run smoothly as well but overall I can't say I've got a particularly high opinion of them at present. In total contrast, Synth Music Direct aren't quite as cheap but they are a pleasure to deal with: http://www.synthmusicdirect.com/ Helpful, friendly and informative. No, this isn't an advertisement for them, I just enjoy the service from them. I *think* the CUE who runs the German site used to be located on the US west coast and was the hub for North American FAX distro until he moved to Germany. NOT Mr. Uzell-Edwards. jeff At 08:53 PM 4/28/2003, RLynn9@aol.com wrote: >In a message dated 4/28/03 4:57:10 PM Central Daylight Time, >therealmxyzptlk@comcast.net writes: > > >>Cue isn't always the best at communicating (keeping the buyer in the loop >>or being especially fast about replying), but he's always done me right and >>hasn't hesitated to answer questions about or providing rare stock which >>isn't even listed on the site. Having dealt with CUE and SMD extensively I'd say that putting up with CUE is probably worth it in terms of bulk-buying Fax titles at the right price (if you're in Europe) but as Peter says SMD are consumate professionals ... nothing is too much trouble. Downside is that, yes, they are a touch pricey compared to others and they concentrate *too* much on the UK synth market for my taste (there's quite a lot of TD soundalikes!). Otherwise highly recommended ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 29 Apr 2003 01:47:05 -0700 From: "sanvara" Subject: Re: (fax) CUE > There's more than one CUE associated with FAX. Charles Uzell-Edwards was the guy on the US west coast who was doing the Fax distribution in the US. But I'm pretty sure CUE in Germany was around when Charles was still doing that. So yes, they seem to be two separate entities. ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 29 Apr 2003 04:52:38 -0500 From: The REAL Mxyzptlk Subject: Re: (fax) CUE Ah - I stand corrected. In the states, I've always purchased my FAX titles from Dave @ Ear Rational Records who now is the US distributor for FAX. Great prices, excellent service. I have also ordered from C.U.E. in Germany but attributed any communication related issues to the differences in language rather than any indifference (or worse) on their part. I didn't realize the U.S. West coast based CUE (Charles Uzell-Edwards) actually sold FAX direct to individuals. I know he's made a bunch of FAX titles, but not lately. In fact, he seems to have dropped out of the scene. I am not sure why. ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 29 Apr 2003 19:31:06 -0700 (PDT) From: ambient Subject: (fax) the CUE`s - --- Spencer Marks wrote: > (Charles > Uzell-Edwards)In fact, he seems to have > dropped out of > the scene. I am not sure why. i swear the conversations just rotate and get rerepeated. both CUE and Charles U-E were both just talked about. he went back into his "school work" of clothing design. ....the name escapes me at the moment...yet, he actually went to school with Christian Dior..or someone famous in fashion...i forget for now. ,scoUt __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!?
