Hear the blips in the background? It's a dead giveaway. ;) One CD that has tons of Matrix soundclips is Namlook XV - Free Your Mind. - -Mike - ----- Original Message ----- From: "Richard" To: Sent: Friday, May 23, 2003 1:41 PM Subject: Fw: (fax) Locating Namlook's Position in the Matrix > btw - does anyone know the source of the vocal snippet from the start of > 'Summer'? > it goes on about a planet that must have suffered a massive ecological > disaster... > > Rich ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 23 May 2003 18:22:07 EDT From: RLynn9@aol.com Subject: Re: Fw: (fax) Locating Namlook's Position in the Matrix In a message dated 5/23/03 12:36:24 PM Central Daylight Time, arkive@btopenworld.com writes: << namlook seems to sample every decent film that has come out... so obviously Reloaded would be a nice target. >> except that Reloaded sucks RL ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 23 May 2003 16:01:45 -0700 From: "sanvara" Subject: Re: Fw: (fax) Locating Namlook's Position in the Matrix > << namlook seems to sample every decent film that has come out... so > obviously > Reloaded would be a nice target. >> > > except that Reloaded sucks I haven't seen it. How does it suck? Let me try. I thought the first one was a nice "total myth" and didn't need/shouldn't have a sequel. I really really liked it. This seems more like a parody of the first one...too many kung-fu moves, explosions and audience baiters. I should add that I will go see it again and that I will see the next one, so I suppose my criticism should be taken as being from someone who liked the first one enough to hope the next one redeems this one. There are some very interesting themes being explored; I guess I wish they would have explored them without so much filler/sensationalist stuff. At least there are no new special effects templates for the next year's worth of movies to copy and beat to death; they are busy beating to death the old ones themselves. I'm not sure I would say "it sucks" as that's a bit glib in my view. It's certainly not as good as the first one. I never have faith in sequels (Lord of the Rings excepted) anyway.
