I would vote for an L5 colony, producing Space in general and Mars in particular are very important to the evolution and advancement of humanity. We should be doing the most we can do and right now putting a human on Mars is about the limit. Exploring space should a high priority for this world. If they didn't spend the money on NASA, they'd just waste it on some stupid social program that doesn't work or help anything, or give it to some high-school dropout bums on welfare. Besides, the space race produced many many times more value in spinoff tech than dollars that were actually spent. To ensure we remain on-topic here, I would postulate that the type of person who listens to FAX would also be the type to consider space a Good Thing(tm)... you know, the more intelligent type with greater imagination than your average peon. ------------------------------ End of faxlist-digest V2004 #9 ****************************** --- + To post: ; to mail a person: + To unsubscribe: "unsubscribe" to + Online info at: www.faxlabel.com www.hyperreal.org/fax www.2350.org
