Should've guessed the barcode thang of course, but I still prefer the older ones with no barcode...of course! Respect to the person with the complete collection at original prices, and a word about eBay prices, in my experience, the prices for the much sought-after releases don't tend to vary that sharply downwards, to be honest...any examples would be welcome! :-) _________________________________________________________________ STOP MORE SPAM with the new MSN 8 and get 2 months FREE* http://join.msn.com/?page=features/junkmail ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 15 Apr 2004 19:56:53 +0200 From: "Martin Jones" Subject: (fax) 2350 : respect due + I keep meaning to say that 2350.org rocks my frigging world, it's a fantastic fantastic resource, and the only place I go when I need Fax-related things (and may I suggest you add the answer to my 08/-related question to the FAQ?) :-) Also, given the answer to the question, does that mean that every release should increase in quality? ;-) Do we get a refund if they don't? :-D I understand the theory of why the world label doesn't have 08/s, but the Main label and the Sub label releases are sold in other countries than Germany, where people won't get the reference either...ah feck it, just quibbling! :-) M _________________________________________________________________ MSN 8 with e-mail virus protection service: 2 months FREE* http://join.msn.com/?page=features/virus ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 15 Apr 2004 14:13:23 -0400 From: "jackthetab" Subject: Re: (fax) 2350 : respect due + >I understand the theory of why the world label doesn't >have 08/s, but the >Main label and the Sub label releases are sold in >other countries than >Germany, where people won't get the reference >either...ah feck it, just >quibbling! :-) some things are not for funny americans :-) kunst und wahnsinn, jackthetab #####\ _ /##### #( )# | _( )__ | #( )# ##### | /_woof/ | ##### #" "# | ___m/I_ /_____ | #" "# # O # |____#-x.\ /++m\ /.x-#____| # O # #m.m# | /" \ ///###\\\ / "\ | #m.m# #####/ ######/ \###### \##### /_______________________________________\ die Intensität eines Automobilunfalles, ist einfach erstaunlich. ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 15 Apr 2004 14:18:45 -0600 From: Dave at Fax Label USA Subject: (fax) Season's Greetings MP3-CD: halfway there! I predicted that proposed reissues such as Hearts of Space and Sequential would never happen because we need 250 people to commit and the fact is, I'm right: We've gotten nowhere near that many. (= However, only 100 people are needed to commit to an MP3-CD release, and we have 50 copies accounted for (not 50 people, since some people have signed up for multiple copies). If you want this reissue to become a reality and you have not already ordered it, go to http://www.ear-rational.com/detail.php?id=11444 and place your order. Your credit card will not be charged until we get 100 signups and the MP3-CD is actually produced by Namlook. If you typically buy your FAX from another vendor, email them and tell them you are committing to purchase Season's Greetings as an MP3-CD, and tell them to contact me so I know your vote will be counted. Do NOT even think of signing up if there is ANY chance you will flake later. Doing that will pretty much guarantee that Namlook will not try this again. But DO think of committing to more than one copy because you KNOW you'll be able to sell it on ebay for more than you paid. Heck, you can already see several FAX MP3-CDs going for ridiculous prices on ebay. And DO think of telling anyone you know who might commit to buying a copy. I can't possibly be reaching all FAX fans with this email, so forward as necessary to get the word out. When Brian finishes the FAX USA webpage, I'll put a counter on there letting people know how many copies have to be ordered before the reissue will happen.
